Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation

The roadmap for clinical care:

When looking to make change, growth and transformation, one must seek to uncover the roots of external symptoms. This uncovering process is achieved through comprehensive evaluation, which lays a framework and provides a roadmap for clinical care.

Throughout the evaluation process, Juli will work to gather information through direct evaluation, collateral information-when needed, and review of standardized evidence-based rating scales. She will work collaboratively with you to formulate an individualized and comprehensive treatment plan which incorporates a range of treatment domains.

Medication Management

Medication can be a helpful tool in achieving treatment goals, especially when utilized in combination with psychotherapeutic supports.

Juli will review a range of evidence-based options and treatment recommendations that are guided by the most up to date research and best practice standards. In addition to initiation of medication, she will assess, monitor and adjust medication on an ongoing basis.

Should an individual already be maintained on a treatment regimen, Juli will seek to better understand ways to adjust or optimize treatment.

Child and Adolescent Care

In approaching care of children and adolescents, Juli takes a strength-based approach focused on identification and treatment of underlying roots of external symptoms to bring about growth and to allow for channeling of one’s strengths.

Juli’s training in child and adolescent psychiatry, along with the implementation of evidence-based treatment practices guide the clinical care she provides. Juli applies her fundamental belief in the tremendous capacity of children and adolescents to reach their full potential through adequate support and appropriate interventions to the care she provides.

Partnership with Parents:

As a parent, you are in the position of needing to make, at times, difficult decisions on behalf of your child. Understanding the gravity of such decisions, Juli works closely with parents and caregivers to ensure they feel fully informed, supported and comfortable with all treatment decisions.

A psychiatric evaluation may include:

  • Discussion of current symptoms and concerns

  • Review of mental health and medical history

  • Diagnostic clarification when appropriate

  • Treatment recommendations, including therapy and/or medication options

This evaluation is required before ongoing treatment can begin. If you have already finished this process, you may proceed to the next section. If you have quick questions or concerns, you can schedule a 15-minute consultation with Juli directly (available below).
